- Class 12 pass from a recognised board. Each university sets its own subject-specific eligibility (e.g., DU BA Hons Economics needs Maths).
- Candidates can choose up to 6 subjects (changed in some cycles).
- Domain subjects (33 to choose from), General Test, and up to 13 languages.
- Each university then sets its own subject-combination + cut-off using CUET percentile.

Takeaways for prep planning
- CUET is fundamentally a Class 12 NCERT-mastery test — every domain question is from the Class 12 syllabus of that subject.
- The 'composite percentile' DU uses sums up domain + language + general test percentile-equated scores. A high single-domain score doesn't help if other selected subjects underperform.
- Choosing 2-3 strong subjects + 1 backup is more rank-effective than spreading across 5-6 subjects with mediocre prep.

CUET 2027 notification expected in January
28 दिन पहलेBased on historical patterns, the CUET UG 2027 notification is expected in the first week of January 2027, with registration opening immediately afterward and continuing through early February.
CUET UG 2026 Result declared on June 23
67 दिन पहलेNTA released the CUET UG 2026 result on June 23, 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. The exam was conducted from May 11 to June 7, 2026, with over 15.68 lakh candidates appearing.
NTA published the final answer key on June 21 after evaluating objections. The key included changes to 7 dropped questions and 44 questions with multiple correct answers.
NTA released the provisional answer key and response sheets on June 9, 2026, allowing candidates to challenge answers with a fee of ₹200 per question before the final key.
