1 Aug 2026Staff Selection Commission released the official notification for CGL 2026 for filling Group B and C posts. Online fee payment deadline is 23rd June 2026 at 23:00 hours.
SSC released the Tier 2 final answer key, scorecard and response sheets on 17th June 2026 for CGL Examination 2025. Candidates can access these documents until 16th July 2026 on the official SSC website.
SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 Result Declared
12 Jul 2026SSC declared the Tier 1 result on 18th December 2025, shortlisting candidates for Tier 2. The Tier 2 examination was subsequently conducted on 18th and 19th January 2026.
SSC announced the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) for CGL 2025 on 8th April 2026, with sliding process scheduled from 12th to 18th April 2026 across regional offices.
SSC has confirmed via the latest notification that the Tier 1 paper structure stays at 100 questions across 4 sections (25 each in Reasoning, GA, Quant, English) with 60 minutes total time. Marking remains +2 per correct, −0.5 negative.
The application window for the 2026 cycle opens on June 1 and closes June 30. Candidates from ST/SC/PwD categories receive fee exemption. Payment through net banking, debit card, or UPI.
Internal projections place this year's CGL vacancies at approximately 17,000 — a slight reduction from last year's 17,727. Bulk of openings remain in Inspector (Income Tax/Examiner) and Assistant Section Officer roles.
