SSC CGL Tier 1 — what's the realistic cutoff this year?

Looking at the past 5 years' trends, GA-heavy years pushed cutoffs to 138-142 for general. With this year's pattern unchanged, do you think 145+ is safe?

I'd target 150+ for safety. Vacancies are down ~12% from last year per the latest notification. Buffer up.

Agree with Pooja. My coaching notes from Adda projected 148 for general. Better to over-prepare than scrape.

Final word: 152 is my safe target. Anything below 145 is gambling.

Adding: SSC's score normalization across shifts adds another ~2-3 marks of variance. Don't aim for the 'cutoff' — aim for cutoff + 8.

Region-wise data: Northern zone consistently 3-4 marks higher than Southern. If you're from TN/Kerala, you have slightly more buffer.
